New Child Safety Seat Requirements in California

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!With the start of the new year, California has revised child safety seat requirements. The new law requires children under two years old to ride in rear-facing child safety seats. The exception is if the child weighs 40 pounds or more, or is 40 or more inches tall.Existing law in other regards does not change for 2017.  Children 8 and under must ride in a booster (or car seat) in the back seat. All passengers are required to fasten their seat belts!Let's hope 2017 will bring a decrease in traffic-related injuries for all Californians. For questions about your Los Angeles case, the Rabbi Lawyer is ready to assist, 24/6!
