A New Idea On How To Prevent Texting While Driving

We all see it every day.  Drivers clutching their cellphones for dear-life and shooting out texts while driving, endangering everyone else on the road.  As a  Los Angeles car accident lawyer, I've handled several cases caused by texting drivers.  They can cause serious injuries.Texting while driving is an epidemic, and it has to stop.  But how do we accomplish this? One local mom has an idea. Her name is Margot Grabie, and she's on a mission to improve public safety and prevent texting on our roads. She does this by handwriting messages on the back windows of cars throughout the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.  The messages say things like "If you can see this, I thank you for not texting and driving"; and "My kids thank you for not texting and driving."Several local media outlets have caught wind of Grabie's mission.  She was recently featured on CBS News, the Larchmont Chronicle, and the Los Angeles Jewish Home newspaper, to name a few. You've probably even seen enthusiastic supporters of this important cause driving around town.  I know I have.As I've discussed before, texting and driving is illegal in California, as it should be.Kudos to Margot Grabie for helping bring awareness to this important safety issue.  You can learn more by visiting her website. And remember: If you're in an accident caused by a texting-driver, my office is just a phone call away
